For just $250, you’ll gain rare behind-the-scenes access to some of the region’s most influential companies—an opportunity to learn how they operate, what drives their leadership decisions, and how their executives have navigated the path to success.
You’ll take part in roundtable discussions with peers from a wide range of industries, exploring what truly defines great leadership—and why some leaders you’ve encountered in the past may have fallen short.
Along the way, you’ll discover more about your own leadership style and how the choices you make today can shape the leader you become tomorrow. The goal isn’t just to become someone others want to follow—it’s to become the kind of leader who inspires others to lead, for that's the mark of a truly great leader.
Here are some comments from those who have gone through the program in the past:
From SAM RIBLETT, Key Accounts Advisor, United Power
"Participating in the Leadership Development Program presented by the Southeast Weld Chamber was a valuable experience that I would recommend to anyone. Each session focused on a core leadership trait...and was hosted at a different local organization. he opportunity to learn about leadership across industries, while sharing lunch and insights with others, was significant.
The session on integrity especially stood out to me. These discussions explored how our actions reflect our character, and how the right choice isn’t always the easiest or most popular — but it matters. I also appreciated the reminder that everyone has something to contribute if given the chance. Marc Arnusch, with Arnusch Farms, shared powerful lessons about risk-taking, adaptability, and the importance of building and maintaining humility, and vision."

"As a community member in Southeast Weld County, I’d encourage anyone to join the Leadership Development Program presented by the Southeast Weld Chamber for the incredible opportunity to understand the businesses and people who make our community thrive. The program gave me a deeper appreciation for the work happening behind the scenes and introduced me to insights I now use regularly in my role—especially the knowledge I gained from Aims Community College and United Power. It’s an eye-opening experience that strengthens both your professional perspective and your connection to the community.
I built lasting relationships with individuals from United Power, Aims Community College, and the neighboring towns. I frequently run into them at local events or around the community, which keeps me connected to what’s happening within their organizations. These ongoing conversations allow us to share updates, support each other’s work, and spread the word about important initiatives—strengthening our collective impact.
My favorite session was the visit to United Power. I learned so much about how service territories were originally defined and how they’re managed today. The highlight was a powerful, hands-on demonstration on electrical safety—an experience that left a lasting impression and deepened my respect for the work they do."
From MICHELE FERGUSON, Post Secondary Readiness Counselor, Weld Central High School
"The Leadership Development Program strengthened my confidence by helping me better understand my leadership strengths and areas for growth. Engaging with business professionals improved my communication skills, especially in expressing ideas and asking thoughtful questions. Seeing how leaders make decisions in different settings made me more intentional in my own approach. Tammy’s supportive environment encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, build meaningful relationships, and trust my abilities as a leader."
From STEFANIE KLATT, Staff Executive II, Aims Community College
"Initially, I was skeptical about how this program would benefit me personally or professionally. However, each week I found myself excited and eager to visit and learn about a new company or organization and how their leadership is shaping and impacting the Southeast Weld community. I really enjoyed the diversity of organizations we visited – from a local family farm to a thriving Co-packing company to United Power – I learned so much about these organizations and really saw leadership in action and how good leadership makes such a difference in the success of these organizations. I often reflect on these experiences in my own professional leadership journey. I also really enjoyed getting to know the people in the program and building new relationships and connections that have continued even after the program ended. It was an excellent and worthwhile experience!"
From RANDY WHITAKER, Master Plumber, Denver Zoo
The Leadership Development Program gave me a unique, behind-the-scenes look at how our host companies operate day to day and the real impact their work has on our communities. I enjoyed seeing how different leadership traits show up in each organization and how they shape the culture and success of the teams who work there.
Coming from an agricultural background, my favorite session was our visit to Arnusch Farms. It was fascinating to see how much the industry has diversified over the years. The technology built into today’s equipment, along with the advancements in water conservation, was truly eye-opening—and getting the chance to operate that equipment myself was an unforgettable experience!
I would highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to better understand how the leading companies in our region have grown into the successes they are today. It’s an inspiring, educational, and energizing opportunity and is well worth the time and money.
