BUSINESS MATTERS Networking Luncheon

Wednesday, July 30, 2025 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (MDT)

Description

Join us each month to network with fellow members at the SEWC "Business Matters" Networking Luncheon! Fuel your body with one of the delicious menu items from Ben's brick oven and fuel your brain as you learn about topics of interest and importance to the business and farm/ranch communities that make up Southeast Weld County.

Starting a new business can be overwhelming. I know because I just went through the process and am still reeling!   You've got a great concept, but have no idea where to start!  Where do you get funding? What licenses do you need?  What type of entity should you be? What the heck is an EIN and a TIN and what's the difference?  Do I need to file taxes quarterly or annually? What type of insurance coverage do I need to have? These are just a few of the many questions that the professionals at the SBDC can help you find the answers to.  LISA HUDSON, Executive Director of the East Colorado SBDC joins us to discuss the resources available from the East Colorado SBDC to help current small business owners and those interested in starting a new business as they navigate the confusing path to becoming business owners..

The Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is the only statewide, nationally accredited program founded to support entrepreneurs and small businesses at every stage of business. With 14 full-time Service Centers, over 25 Satellite Centers, and approximately 300 business experts, the Colorado SBDC provides free, confidential one-on-one advising, no- or low-cost business training, and connections to community partners and resources across all 64 counties in Colorado.
